Easycap USB 2.0 Audio & Video Capture Adapter
by mrlizard9797
Well you get what you pay for. It definatley isn't the best adapter of this kind on the market currently.
It depends what you are using it for thought, if it just for a home video, or something similar that doesn't really require amazing quality, this would do the job no-doubt. But say if you were recording something for a ... presentation or something that requires high quality recording, you would be better off getting an alternative.
This product is mostly used when trying to record gaming, on PS3, Wii or xbox. I have used this to record my Playstation 3, and once you get the driver software and editing software installed with the provided disk, it has fairly good quality, and changing the fps determines how 'smooth' the playback is.
It doesn't only work with the provided software, it can be used on just about any movie making/movie editing software that allows you to capture video from a camera or webcam. Read the complete review |

Are you still the owner of a car that has a radio with a cassette player rather than one with a new fangled a cd player? Is your car lacking an input for your ipod or other mp3 player? If so there is no need to feel left out when you can't play your favorite mp3 track. All you need to be able to do so is one of these handy radio ... cassette adaptors.
Whilst the adaptor is not perhaps the most glamorous of contraptions it works really well as long as your radio cassette deck is in fully working order. In many ways the cassette adaptor is better then cluttering up your car with lots of cds as all you need is your mp3 player, to be able to listen to your favorite track.
**********************************************************
We bought our adaptor from HMV and its basically just a black tape cassette which looks like any other, except it has the addition of a slim black cable with a simple connector, which attaches to your mp3 player. We paid £9.99 for ours, which did seem quite expensive at the time, but for the amount of use we have had from it, it was a bargain.
Its so simple to use and easy to put away after use. To use the adaptor you just need to insert the cassette into your cassette player, then connect the attached wire to you mp3 player..Simples!
The cassette turns within the cassette player and allows you to use your mp3 player as normal. The sound comes out of your cars speakers in the same way that it always does. The cassette does not charge up your mp3 player however so power is used in the normal way when its switched on.
**********************************************************
We have found the clarity of sound you get when using the adaptor to be really good. With no fuzziness of any sort and no buzzing at all. You do need to be careful if you are in the car alone when using the cassette adaptor as you won't be able to safely change tracks whilst driving.
A good idea is to either pick a whole album you want to listen too or put your ipod on shuffle and take pot luck at what comes out of your speakers. This can be kind of fun, as you often get tracks which you don't play much, so it adds more variety.
If you have a passenger in the car then he or she can operate the mp3 player for you and pick out tracks to listen to. Be warned though that you will be at the mercy of their own personal taste. Yikes!
**********************************************************
You can also use the adaptor in a home stereo system that has a cassette player if there is some way of feeding the slim wire through the player safely. Although we haven't tried this ourselves.
The cassette adaptor is a really good little gadget that will allow you to have much greater freedom with your choice of in car music. Its reliable to use and reasonable to buy. We have had so much use from our cassette adaptor that I can only rate it with a 5 star rating.
NB: If using this in the car, do be careful not to catch the wire around the cars gear stick as this could be dangerous when driving. Just make sure that your mp3 player and the wire are situated away from anything they could become entangled with and it should be fine. Read the complete review |

Philips SVC2540

Once you have invested in a new up to the minute tv and parted with loads of money to get the latest Full HD 1080, 52 inch, all singing all dancing LCD or plasma screen of your dreams, you do tend to think about the fact that it may need a little more TLC than your last 15 year old bulky CRT dinosaur.
No more giving it a ... quick wipe during half time, with last seasons team football top, beer in one hand, bag of salted peanuts between your teeth and aforementioned nylon wonder in the other hand. Oh no!
**********************************************************
When your 52 inch beauty gets a little dusty or smeared and you can't see the pitch let alone the ball, you will probably think about doing what you have always done and then hopefully decide against it.
Sensible men all over the UK need to get them selves a Phillips screen cleaning kit. After all you wouldn't wash you brand new Audi TT in washing up liquid would you? So why risk damaging the thing that makes you happiest of all, your tele!
**********************************************************
The Phillips kit is very easy to use and is such a quick system that you will have more than enough time to fit it into you half time routine. The kit contains a small plastic bottle of cleaning fluid, which comes as a handsome and manly blue gel. There is also a matching paler blue lint free cleaning cloth, which is much better for your prized tv than your previous polishing cloth.
The gel comes in a handy spray top bottle. You get 200mls of blue gel which is guaranteed to leave your tv screen 100% smear and streak free. It has a useful no drip and slip formula, so there is little chance of the gel dropping on to parts of the tv it shouldn't.
**********************************************************
All you need to do is switch of your tv, yep switch it off boys! (Its ok, its half time remember) Then once the tv is switched off, just spray very lightly once or twice depending on how much or little you judge is needed to transform your screen back to its original beauty.
Next as swiftly as you can, but also using a light touch similar to when you are lifting a pint of your favorite beer, pull out the lint free polishing cloth and set to work.... cleaning! Its as simple as that lads.
**********************************************************
Soon any finger prints, smudges, smears and dusty particles will be wiped away and your lovely gleaming 52 inch beauty will be restored back to its as new condition.
Now there is a handy manual that comes with the kit, but between you and I lads, it will only tell you to use a very similar cleaning method to the one I have mentioned here. So read it or don't its up to you, as to my mind you really can't go wrong with the gel and cloth if you use just one or two sprays and clean carefully.
**********************************************************
Do remember to treat the screen gently, as these new fangled wonders can be damaged with rough handling. Do also hold one edge of the tv and polish the gel off with the other hand as this helps to steady your aim and stops you knocking the blooming tv over or off of the wall.
The micro fibre cloth can be re-used again and again, but will need a clean every now and then with some lightly soapy water.
Follow these easy steps and your tv will reward you with nice clear pictures every time guaranteed. The one thing I can't guarantee is that your team will win.
**********************************************************
Rating this as a 4 star product due to it price.
Its not a cheapie buy at between £8 to £10, but its kept our tv screen in good health and so its has been worth the expense in many ways. I do feel that it would have been even better if it was a little cheaper, hence the 4 star rate. Read the complete review |
