Go for the cheaper one: AmazonBasics 2M HMDI cable.

Two months ago I bought a new television. One that I could finally be proud on because before this one I had a tiny 10 year old television. My excuse was always that I never watch that much television anyway. This is in some way true only I do watch a lot of TV shows that I download on my laptop. So when I finally figured out that I could connect my laptop to a television that has a HDMI port, I realised I ran out of excuses. So I bought a new television and needed of course a HMDI cable!

When you are going to look for a HMDI cable you will notice the big price differences between the different HDMI cables. I was shocked to see prices going beyond the 50 pounds for just a simple cable! When I asked what the difference is between a cheaper and more expensive cable, I was simply told that the expensive one is stronger and won't break as easy but that the cheaper one was just fine. With this is my mind of course I went for a cheaper version and on Amazon I found the basic HMDI cable. I mean even if this one breaks in a couple of months (what still hasn't happened) I rather buy a new one then spend 50 pounds on a very expensive one.

AmazonBasics 2M HMDI cable is one you can get for around five pounds and sounded strong enough for me. Amazon states a a multi shielded cable, constructed with multiple layers of shielding ; durable, black PVC outer layer; and corrosion-resistant, high-quality, gold-plated connectors for optimal signal transfer. Which sounds good to me. Well using them for a couple of months now and they still work and don't show any damage.

The cable combines both sound and picture and gives you a quality up to 1080p resolution, which is fine for the normal user of a blue-ray player or Xbox. The picture on my television looks really good and the colours look really good. When I'm playing a movie on the laptop watching on the television it doesn't look blurry at all. This is something I heard from other friends and the screen sometimes looks a little bit blurry here and there. Something to do with the settings but I never had any problems.

So if you are looking for a HDMI cable don't spend to much money because it's really a waste of your money. The AmazonBasics 2M HMDI cable is good enough for your daily use and don't see any reason why I should have bought an expenisve cable. Really recommend this one.
