this camera has served me well for the last few years, it is small, easy to use, and is so reliable you could drop it down a flight of stairs without any loss of function, i know this from experience. this camera produces broadcast quality pictures and before the recent surge in HD was a good option for outdoor reports/interviews. anyone wanting to break into movie making should get this camera, its simplicity and price make it widely recognised as the best value for money video camera on the market. the end product this camera produces is equal to cameras of a much higher price tag. the mini dv tapes used in this camera are relatively cheap, you can get 6 for £20 on ebay, this means production costs for small films can remain low.most of them come with an attatched microphone which provides more than suitable audio for interviews. so i would recommend this camera as i said for beginners wanting to learn camera work, as a cheap option for on the scene reports or low-profile outdoor shoots, or just for any enthusiasts who would love a nice little cheap camera for personal use. a great camera, faultless in every way.
