Advantages: Looks wicked; Holds my camera nice and snug
Disadvantages: No strap on the camera case
I'm quite lucky because I don't see my aunts and uncles all that often, but when I do they bring me presents! I ended up with this camera case at a family wedding a few weeks back, my aunt actually took her camera out of it to give the case to me because I said how gorgeous it was and how rubbish my case looked next to it!
It's made out of a shiny wet look plastic, I think if you was to start peeling it away it would be something cheap like a cardboardy case covered in like latex or something.... I'm not going to start digging at my case though because I love it and I don't want to end up ruining it!
It opens and closes with a zip, the zip starts halfway up one side goes round the top and then comes halfway down the other side. That means the case doesn't open up all that wide but it's enough to slide my camera in, there's a special cuff that is made of the same material of the lining that protects cameras from being scratched by the zip.... it's the same idea as when you've bought a zip up toddler outfit and you get that little tag to stop the zip catching on their chin.
The lining isn't all that thick so the case relies on the rigid outside to protect your camera. It does seem quite sturdy even though it looks more like a fashion accessory than anything else.
This won't hold massive cameras, mine is a Sony Cyber Shot and they are very small. I think you'd get a slightly bigger camera in the case but there isn't much room so I definately say you should check the size of the inside of the case before you buy it. Looking on Amazon the internal dimensions are 9.5cm x 5.6cm x 2.5cm so you should be able to work it out from that.
I think this is a gorgeous little camera case and I loved it as soon as I saw it. The only problem I've got with it is that there isn't a strap attached to the actual case, you can slide the wrist strap of your camera through the zip part but it's a bit fiddly and actually I'd rather just stuff that strap into the case with the camera and have a strap that is on the case. That would make things a lot easier but it's not a big problem just something that would be nice to have.
Recommended.... gorgeous!!!
