Biin 37 Camera Bag
Advantages: Great size for a day with a camera, choice of colours, fantastic price.
Disadvantages: May be too small for a larger full frame DSLR
If you're looking for something to hold every bit of camera equipment you have then this is definitely not the bag for you. If on the other hand you need something which will hold your camera and a spare lens with a few other assorted accessories then you'd be hard pushed to find a better bag at this price than the BIIN 37.
I was relatively new to photography when I bought mine and despite having expanded my selction of lenses and camera bodies over time, this is still my first choice for carrying things on an afternoon out.
First thing to note is that this is a sling style bag meaning it only has one strap which in use runs diagonally across the body from the right shoulder towards the left hip (this can't be changed so not ideal if you're a left hander). The advantage of this is that you can swivel the whole thing around your torso so the bag is now almost infront of you which means you have much faster and easier access to your camera than you would in a traditional rucksack camera bag. Because it is worn similar to a rucksack and can be adjusted to a good tight fit so you don't need to hold it like a shoulder bag when going over rough terrain to find the perfect position for your next shot.
Being the compact version of Vanguards sling bags means you are limited to how long a lens it will carry but I've never had a problem using it with a 300mm zoom attached to the camera body so unless you have the desire to lug around an enormous lens then it should be suitable for most amateur photographers. Padding on the inside is good and in the main compartment there is an adjustable divider to seperate the camera from a spare lens which fits alongside it.
To complement the main storage there is a pocket at the top for a small lens or in my case for a few filters, cloths and a small torch for night work. On the front there is a very small zipped pocket which although a bit tight to get into, does fit a cable release but I suspect it was intended by the manufacturer for spare memory cards. A net pocket on one side and a couple of loops to attach accessories completes the storage. These loops are perfect for clipping a small tripod in place and if you use a carabiner it can be removed ready for use without having to take the bag off.
Mine has been subjected to snow, heavy rain, dust and sand and it has never let anything get at the contents other than when I left a zip undone.
All in all it was a fantastic purchase especially considering the price and I'd recommend it to anyone.
Summary: Perfect for the amateur photographer that doesn't want anything too heavy.
