Advantages: Looks great; Fits my small camera perfectly; The zip opens quite wide
Disadvantages: No room for batteries
I'm a bit obsessed with camera and phone cases, I don't mean all the usual ones that people buy but I like something a bit funky that isn't going to cost a fortune so that I can make my stuff look different without going to the expense of replacing it all the time.
The Golla range of phone cases are brill, I've got quite a few of them now because they are so cheap to buy on Amazon so whenever I've got a voucher I'll order a new one. I didn't know they did camera cases though until I saw this one on another website, it's made especially for small cameras and because I've got a Sony Cybershot it was ideal because that is one of the smallest cameras I've ever seen!
It's called the Royal Photo Case and is actually quite a bit brighter in real life than in the photo Dooyoo have got up. It's like a bright khaki colour and the leaves that decorate it are a darker green. The case is made out of a kind of tough cordoroy material and it feels like it's going to last forever, longer than my camera probably!
The inside of the case is quite small, like I said I've got a very small Sony camera and there's not much room once the camera is in there. Inside there is a little pouch where you can keep a memory card for your camera, I don't use that because my card is always INSIDE my camera but at least it's there for the people who like to take a spare memory card out with them.
The only bad thing about this camera case is that there is no space to put spare batteries in, that might not sound like much of a drama to you but my rechargable batteries are badly in need of being replaced so they don't last all that long. That means I need to take a couple of spare batteries if I'm going out for the day or if I'm planning to take plenty of photos or videos on my phone, it's not a biggie because I can always slip a couple of batteries in my pocket but I'd prefer it if I could keep them in the case with my camera.
The case does up with a zip to keep my camera safe and it's quite a long zip so when it's open there is a big enough gap to take my camera out without having to squeeze it through the opening. I know that doesn't sound all that important but I've got another cheapo camera case that has got such a small gap once it's opened that you have to kind of scrunch the case up and twist the camera about to get it out and I always worry about either dropping my camera in the messing or even scratching it on the zip.
There's a caribiner clip on the back of the camera case so you can clip it to your belt, I don't use it for that but have started to clip the case to the key ring that's inside my handbag. That's only because I've got quite a big bag and am forever having to hunt around and nearly empty it out before I can find my phone or camera, clipping it to the key ring means my camera is always on hand for when I want to take a photo.
Recommended..... a wicked camera case if like me you've got a smaller than average camera.
