      Useful protection, but ugly.

      This is me pleading the case
      for the Apex 20,
      Covering your camera
      From accidents aplenty.

      If you need protection from
      yourself, outside forces and kids,
      The Lowepro Apex 20
      camera case provides all this.

      The design is a brave
      display of orange and black,
      Impossible to lose it,
      Even inside my bag-pack.

      Not too heavy or bulky,
      It's still full of padding, so
      It will cushion your camera,
      From our real life, blow by blow.

      Waterproof from light moisture
      It saves my camera from the rain,
      That is our weather system,
      As well as scratches and stains.

      I don't particularly like
      the shoulder strap along with it,
      I find it comfortable.
      Though this is easy to omit.

      The case has 2 pockets,
      For batteries and flash cards,
      Sealed with zips securely so
      That they're suitably guarded.

      It fits the standard size of
      camera, but for larger ones,
      it will be quite a tight squeeze.
      Better go larger for the big guns.

      It fits nicely inside
      My bag or a drawer at home.
      It works well even with kids
      who don't respect no-go zones.

      It has been dropped and shaken -
      God knows what else it's been through.
      The contents inside, importantly,
      Are still as good as new.

      It will cost you quite a bit,
      In hard earned cash, so shop around,
      It's RRP is £20
      Amazon have it at £18.

      If you treasure your camera,
      Use this case to protect it,
      It has everything you need.
      Expect the unexpected.

      Hope the poem format didn't bamboozle anyone! To summarise:

      * Offers protection;
      * Waterproof, but I wouldn't recommend dunking it in the toilet to test that out;
      * Integrated pockets for batteries / memory cards secured with zips;
      * Comes in a choice of blue or orange.

      * Shoulder strap is uncomfortable, though it is removable;
      * Ugly design;
      * Expensive.

      I recommend this case for anyone with a standard digital camera. Available online from Amazon and other online retailers.

        A great case to hold memory card, batteries and camera

        When we bought our camera a couple of years ago it didn't fit into the case we had used for our previous camera so we had to buy a new one. I found this case in either Comet or Currys (know it began with a C!) and I managed to get it in a sale for £16.99 instead of £19.99, it looks as though you can pick these up for around £12 now but it was about 2 1/2 years ago that i bought mine.

        My camera case is black with a little bit of grey and I have seen them in blue and black but not sure what other colours are available. The case has one main compartment which is zip operated, inside the case is bright orange. When you open the main part of the camera case there is a nicely padded bit to protect you camera and then a very slim pocket with a vecro fastening which is meant to carry your memory card and even has a little picture of a memory card on it just incase you didn't know what it was for. On the outer side of the case still in the main section there is a black netted pocket which doesn't fasten for you to carry some extra batteries, this would be better if it fastenened in some way as when you put the case down without the camera in the weight of spare batteries makes it lay down on it's side and the batteries slip out of the pocket.

        On the outside of the case there is two rubber semi circle shapes on the side to attach he shoulder strap to, the shoulder strap is string but quite this so i didn't really find it very comfortable to wear and generally the case just stays in my handbag until I want the camera. The zip of the main compartment has a pulley on it for easy opening and there is the Lowepro logo on the front of the case where it also has a rubber bottom, on the back there is a bit to go over your belt which fastens with velcro but the velcro is very strong so wouldn't be worried about dropping the camera and then there is the web address embroidered on the case incase you need further information.

        The camera case is completely waterproof which is a good job as we got caught in a downpour on a day out once and I had forgotten that the camera was in it's case on top of the buggy, the case was soaked but the camera inside was bone dry. The case is easy to use and you do not struggle getting the camera out and miss the perfect photo, I would recommend this make but would prefer one with a shutting pocket for batteries and for this it loses one star so rating of 4 out of 5 from me

          A good sturdy case

          I've got this case ( but in black, rather than the two tone shown in the picture) and my FujiFinePix A920 fits inside comfortably. The case is of good quality construction and after over a years use is still looking good and showing no visible signs of wear.

          Lets start from the outside ... you've got two options for carrying it ... a detachable strap for over the shoulder or a very sturdy and secure velcro belt clip. {There are also a few little loops so you could potentially clip it onto a rucksack too}. The case itself is well padded and gives the camera good protection.

          The case has a nylon "showerproof" cover which rolls up and fits in a slot under the belt clip .. this can be pulled out and it will snugly cover the rest of the case, although I'm pretty sceptical about how much water it will keep out, although I admit I have instinctively used it when caught in a shower anyway.

          The zip is sturdy and opens to give a fair sized internal space which has a central divider and a mesh pouch on the front. On the "divider" there is a small pocket with velcro closure that's useful for storing a spare memory card etc. I put some spare batteries in the mesh part and even with 4 batteries & the camera the pouch closes comfortably. Now the mesh pouch is open at the top and this is my sole complaint about the case ... in opening and closing the case to take the camera out on holiday I was able to lose a few batteries ... yes I could have been more careful but it would never have been an issue if that mesh pouch had something to close it up.

          Cases like this always seem a bit over-priced to me, especially compared to the camera itself but it does the job and is convenient for keeping camera + memory card + spare batteries in one place on a trip.
