When I bought my FZ45, one of the first accessories I decided to get was a camera bag. I wanted something that could protect it well from the elements and also space for accessories.
What the LowePro Rezo 120 AW had going for it was:
- A water proof cover
- Plenty of extra pockets and spaces for accessories
- A handle as well as a strap
- Fitted my superzoom perfectly
- Has a cloth inside for cleaning lenses and LCDs
I was worried about the case being too big for a Panasonic FZ45, but it fits well and leaves room for the lens hood, camera cleaning equipment, spare lenses (I planned to buy IR and polarizing filters to screw on to the FZ45's lens), USB cable and any other accessories.
I now have the two lenses in there, a spare memory card and a lens cleaner pen (as well as the camera and lens hood), with room left for any other accessories I need to add in. I have only had to use the water proof cover once and it did the job, no internal dampness. It also rolled back up into its pocket without a problem. Otherwise, I have been in only very light showers and the case material protects from this without a problem.
It's not heavy and comfortable to carry, although the heaviest part will be the camera itself, especially for any DSLR owners. This seems to be more for smaller DSLRs (mirrored and mirrorless) that do not have huge lenses, though, and superzoom cameras.
I did check out a few bags in photography shops which were more expensive, but they seemed the same in quality (or worse).
At the price, I can't really fault it. It has helped my camera survive a few knocks, too.
I have always enjoyed taking a photo or two but since retiring became even more interested in photography. Now I am by no means a big time photographer and I do not go in for the DSLR`s and the likes but I have a nice Samsung WB650 which I paid a lot of money for so I like to look after it.
At first I bought a simple leather case for it but have now gone a bit further and purchased a Lowepro Rezo 120 AW bag as it has plenty room for my camera, my wife's little camcorder and our memory cards and cables and the likes, so everything we need is all in one place.
The Lowepro Rezo 120 AW is actually designed with DSLR cameras in mind but if you use the separators inside correctly it can accommodate a small camera or two no problem and what more keep them safe from scratches and the likes with its very soft padded interior.
There is a nice pouch inside the lid of the bag where you can keep your memory cards and a soft microfiber cloth built in to the main compartment to use to clean LCD screens, I thought that was a great touch.
The other great thing about this bag is that if you are caught out and about when the rain comes on this bag has a built in waterproof cover that pulls out from a zip pocket and covers over the whole bag keeping your digital equipment dry and safe.
I am quite sure that Lowepro have thought of everything with this bag and if you need a bag for a small DSLR or if you have a couple of compacts you like to carry or a compact and a video camera like my wife and I then I would highly recommend this bag.
This smallish bag cost me only £17.99 online which I thought was a very reasonable price for such an excellent product, I believe the retail price is a little over £20 so I got it a little cheaper than that but even at a tenner or so dearer I would still rate it as great value for money.
If you need bigger then fear not as Lowepro has a huge range of bigger bags too, also at very reasonable prices.
This bag is sized thus:
6W X 4.1D X 6.5H (inches)
7W X 5.7D X 7.9H (Inches)
If cameras could talk, they'd thank you for buying this case.
The main compartment can accomodate a decent size camera even with lens attatched, saving you the effort of dissasembling it ever time you need storage. It is also lined with soft cloth that protects your camera from any bumps the case might take, and is also non-abrasive. You can clip the "all weather" cover down over the main compartment to provide some extra protection, however, this is not it's only use as on the back of the cover there's a pouch for your cameras memory card!
As if this weren't enough for you, the case packs yet another decent sized front pocket for accesories that easily zips up as well as an elasticated side pocket.
Carrying the case is no problem as it includes a comfortable shoulder strap. However, if you were particularly wary about theft there's an intergrated belt loop so that you can wear it on nearly any pair of trousers and not worry about it becoming undone.
With this many features i have to give it a 5 star rating.
