I bought this Samsung SCP A10 case as my Samsung digital camera fitted into it and there was no case with it. Now that camera has broken, I use this case for my Samsung Galaxy mini mobile, which fits neatly in.
The case itself is very hard wearing and smart looking. It is made of black nylon and measures 180 x 96 x 65 cm. There is a zip which opens the case in half and the phone/camera goes in, there is also a strap you can carry it with.
I put my mobile in this case when I take it in the car, as I put it in the door compartment and don't want it getting damaged sliding around.
This has the Samsung logo on it so people will know that you have a phone/camera in the case rather than glasses or a drink or something, so it is best not to put it down in any social situations, as this could attract opportunist thieves. They would also take it if the camera was not in a case of course !
Anyway this is very compact and hard wearing and also splash proof, so it offers a lot of all round protection for your camera / mobile. There are hundreds of mobile cases you can choose from, so many it is too confusing for simpletons like me. With cameras it is a lot more simple and the range tends to be more basic, with just a few simple cases like this one, which can also be used to store other devices / things.
~*~ The Company ~*~
With its headquarters in Samsung Town, Seoul, South Korea, who hasn't heard of this company that has its services on a global scale?
The company was founded in 1938 by Lee Byung-chul, born in 1910 and lived to the age of 77yrs, was the son of wealthy landowners. For his first enterprise, Lee Byung-chul used his inheritance to open a rice mill but when the Korean War broke out, he was forced to leave Seoul and started a sugar refinery in Busan as a name of Cheil Jedang. It was the first South Korean sugar manufacturing facility.
After the war, in 1954, Lee founded Cheil Mojik and built the plant in Chimsan-dong, Daegu. It was the largest woolen mill ever in the country. He then established a trucking business which he named Cheil, the forerunner to Samsung.
The chairman & CEO of Samsung Electronics is Lee Kun-hee, the third son of Lee Byung-chull, born in 1942. In 1996, Lee became a member of the International Olympic Committee. Lee and his family rank among the 'Forbes' richest people in the world!
~*~ Logos ~*~
After two logos beforehand, used from 1980 to '92, the 'three stars' logo from the meaning of the Korean hanja word Samsung is "tristar" or "three stars". The number three representing big, many and powerful, and the star means eternity. The two former adjectives rather apt!
Two logos replaced this, the latter being the current 'SAMSUNG' word in white with blue background presented in '93.
~*~ The product under review ~*~
From innovative technology, business acumen and as notable benefactors, Samsung has become a world leader in a 'force to be reckoned with'!
Whenever I'm looking to purchase an item, Samsung is always a brand I take into account. For instance, when I purchased a digital camera, wanting to up-grade on the protective cover, I made an on-line search for various respected brand names that included Samsung.
> This black digital camera pouch is made of Nylon material, much valued for its light weight, incredible tension strength, durability and resistance to damage. These features are a plus when carrying a camera for a fair length of time and in occasionally, in unfavourable environments..
> The Product's dimensions are 180 x 96 x 65 cm. Small enough to fit in my coat pocket!
> This protective casing is versatile in that it will accommodate several different brand cameras as well as the Samsung ranges of the pouches size. Tried my son's digi cam and it fits comfortably.
> With a strong zipper that encloses the equipment safely, & a practical nylon handle for transportation, this functional little product serves its purpose well. I have found this very useful for when i'm carrying other items, i slip the wrist band on and my hands are free to hold other bags.
> The internal fabric is soft and designed to keep the fragile mechanisms of a camera safe and shielded against general bumps & scrapes. My camera has suffered no cosmetic scratches when enclosed in the case.
> I recommend purchasing it on-line through major companies that offer cut price goods as I managed to obtain this quality casing for £1!
~ Would I recommend this camera pouch? ~
Yes, I would due to its lightweight, general protection qualities & price.
No, I feel that now I have had the experience of using this item regularly, I feel a more durable casing made of leather would afford the camera more protection. I've dropped my camera & banged it against walls...accidently! And I feel that the material pouch isn't up to shielding the camera against these types of mishaps.
Summary: This affordable neat looking camera pouch offers secure protection against light accidents.
