I have this camera case in black, which i bought from Ebay, but there are a whole range of colours available (pink, blue, green, white) to suit personal preference. It fits snug around my Sony DSC-S780 Cyber-Shot Digital camera, even though Sony do not list it as a compatible model. Be assured that there is room to manoeuvre the actual camera in and out easily but prevents movement from the camera inside the material to protect pressure on the buttons. Approximate dimensions: 110 x 80 x 25mm.
The branding on the front and back of the case reads 'Sony' and 'Cybershot' so it is made especially for Sony's camera range. The casing is spongey and feels relatively thick to protect the contents inside. It is material-like on the outside and there is a rubber-like coating on the inside which prevents dust from the inside sticking to your camera. If you are looking for a hard-outter casing this is probably not the product for you but for casual use, this case would be very suitable.
The outer material (the grey part in the above photo) is a lot stronger to protect from damage to the edges. The combination of materials gives the camera case a quality feel and high protection factor. There is a thick ring on the outside so you can attach it to a neck-tie, jeans or bag, to prevent loss of your camera. It is very strong in material and design, so there is no worry about it falling off. A neck-tie is not included with the camera case (at least when i bought it there wasn't!) which could be something to improve the product. However, if your camera has its own tie that you secure around your wrists, you can place this outside the camera case, inbetween the two zips, which works just as well.
You can pick these cases up really cheaply nowadays. A quick look on Ebay shows you can now get TWO for a five pound price-tag! I would recommend this product to the younger generation who want a simple camera case to take their cameras around on a night out. The sleek design means it can fit nicely within a jeans pocket or small bag, while of course protecting your digital cameras from damage!
I have two sony cases for my cybershot, one which I just reviewed is a bit bigger with a pocket and more padding, which is good for more intensive photo taking sessions. This case I bought for (apart from the good stylish looks) it's slim and sleek form factor. If you want a small case that will give a fair amount of protection (more from scratches than drops) then this will do the job well. It has a useful key ring hoop, to attach to your trousers, and the zips are well made and never catch. It feels barely bigger than the camera itself, which means I can carry it around in my pocket all the time, without feeling like you have a brick in your pocket. It doesn't give all round protection but enough for what it's designed for. My only problem is that it does pick up grime and dirt very easily, and it gets discoloured quickly, although I found soaking it for awhile with cleaning products soon sorted that out!
