Advantages: Fast and cheap good quality pictures

Disadvantages: not the best built

Now this is a down to earth honest little lens it comes in a little box and you open it up and first thing noticed its not the best built lens in the world but hey how much did you pay for it??? so second thing you notice is that its quick, noisy and just really different from other lenses you have used.

unfortunately its got plastic contacts for the body of the camera and does not come with many accessories finding a hood for mine was trouble but as said again i got it in china for around 170RMB and that's like 40-50 pounds and this lens is as i said down the earth you point it at what you want to photo and it focuses quickly and take the photo and good ones at that... its a good edition for beginners to add to their range and it think its a starting point for anyone that's getting into photography, i use it as my portrait lens and its really pulling that job off i have some photos on my site just visit it and you will see.

All in All its a little noisy but does the job lens

Summary: hey what can one say for around 50 quid

A lot more info is needed here, for example is it a macro lens, zoom lens fixed focal lens? and what does the f1.8 mean?

As a pro photographer I know all this but many or even most reading this will not so it is up to you to tell them. - Colin (guide for photography)!
