Advantages: Allows the use of filters and lenses with the canon powershot g7 and g9.

Disadvantages: Overpriced, poor construction material.

This is the lens adapter designed to allow you to fit the Canon Powershot g7/g9 cameras with additional lenses and/or filters. It comes fitted with a 58mm thread, allowing it to take lenses or filters with that sized threat.

The main problem with the adapter is that it is quite difficult to get the thread on the lens or filter that you're using correctly aligned with the thread on the adapter. This would not appear to be to much of a problem, were the adaptor not constructed from some kind of plastic. Most lenses and filters have metal threads, so if you get one mis-aligned, it's far too easy to ruin the thread on the adapter, in turn ruining the adapter itself. This seems to be a pretty big design oversight, and, given that the adapter is priced at nearly £20 makes the adapter seem quite poor value for money.

Summary: Useful adapter, let down by poor construction materials.
