markos9 Canon EF 75-300mm f4/5.6 USM MK3: ... lens was the first one I bought for my Canon 350D almost three years ago. It has a wide focal length range covering portrait to fairly long telephoto and is extremely well priced. The lens is well constructed, and despite being inexpensive, does not look cheap. It is, however, quite light, and for such a long lens, balances well on the small Canon cameras. There are textured grips to adjust both for focal lengt...

greenflash Canon LA DC58H
... is the lens adapter designed to allow you to fit the Canon Powershot g7/g9 cameras with additional lenses and/or filters. It comes fitted with a 58mm thread, allowing it to take lenses or filters with that sized threat. The main problem with the adapter is that it is quite difficult to get the thread on the lens or filter that you re using correctly aligned with the thread on the adapter. This would not appear to be to much of a problem, were the adaptor not constructed from some kind of plastic. Most lenses and filters have metal threads, so if you get one mis-aligned, it s far too easy to ruin the thread on the adapter, in turn ruining the adapter itself. This se...

gaviniancampbell Canon EF 50mm f1.8 MK2
... nifty fifty ! I really love this lens, though I really shoudnt. It is a piece of crap, but it takes fantastic photographs. It looks cheap and nasty but it outperforms a couple of my other lenses. It s a conundrum to be frank - I guess you just have to take it for what it is, a cheap way to add a very handy prime lens to your kit bag. The 50mm is very good for portraits and it is also really handy for gigs, the low light and the clarity of means you can get the photographs you need. Good Points - Very fast f/1.8, nice clear optics Bad Points - Cheap plastic construction, unreliable auto focus(it sticks) Alot of people say, get this once you tire of the kit lens. I...

gaviniancampbell Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Zoom Lens
... was the 3rd lens I purchased after the kit lens. It is the widest lens you can get other than a fisheye(that is made by canon). Sigma make a cheaper one(10-20mm), but I m really glad I went for the canon, the extra 2mm comes in really handy, it has made all the difference in some instances and of course the build quality is really great. I love shooting landscapes with this lens and the ultra wide angle can be really fun when shooting portraits. There isnt really much to criticise about this lens, only a little bit of distortion at 10mm and sometimes you might wish there was some IS. Just remember, if you are going to be using built in flash, then there will be a sha...
