Ok, so your new to Digital SLR camers, and you don't know what lens to get. Don't worry, this lens for the Olypmus EVOLT four thirds system is just the ticket. I got the Olympus E410 from PC World for a snip of a price, it came with a standard 17.4-45mm lens, which is good, but not the best, so I decided I wanted to get a versatile lens so I could do a number of style pics like portrait and panoramic etc..... Now, like I say, I'm not technical in this department, but I can tell you the lens is pretty light, comes with a useful hood, which not only allows certain amounts of light in, but protects the lens itself - VERY USEFUL! It is a great replacement for the more basic lens which comes with the camera, and gives great portrait pics. If you need a no-nonsense book for DSLR cameras, I highly recommend the Scott Kelby series, they are really user friendly, and explain how to use your lenses and camera very well!!
