Contax N1 ... N1 is an impressive camera. Results are 35mm at its very finest. The Vario-Sonnar 24-85mm zoom is in a class of its own - the resolution, contrast, coverage and total absence of linear distortion throughout the zoom and aperture range are uncanny. This is due in part to the huge glass elements in its design, the weight of which makes the assembly liable to lateral movement, and the closest focusing distance a little long. 82mm filters are expensive, and close-up supplementary lenses unobtainable. Canon IXUS II Extreme APS Camera ... camera is has been on the market a few years now, and has been superceded by subsequent versions, however it is still a stylish and very desirable little camera I have found mine very useful. This camera uses what APS technology, which was new when the camera came out. I think APS was the film camera industries answer to the increasingly popular digicam market which was replacing compact film cameras because the APS film system is more versatile, than standard 35mm photography. Pentax Espio 200 ... have owned Pentax zoom camera's for a number of years. I bought the Pentax 200 as a replacement for my previous camera which had been stolen on a holiday in the Alps. My previous Pentax Espio had had a 150mm zoom and I found for taking close up's of mountains and panorama's this wasn't sufficient so I was drawn to the 200mm zoom of this model. Style I was attracted to this model partially by its undeniably good styling... at least it looked the part! It looked and felt chunky and well built when compared to other similar offerings in Jessops. It was also on special offer at the time (just after Christmas 2002) for £200.
