Fujifilm APS Fotonex 101ix:
... is a very attractive little camera. It is aesthetically very pleasing, and its rather miniscule size and weight are a distinct bonus as well. It measures up at 3” by 5 ½” which is a nigh on perfect size, as it is no so small that you are constantly loosing it, but it is also small enough to easily fit in you pocket. It doesn’t have all the functions that perhaps the higher priced models use,... Read the full review: Superb little camera by stephen_logan |

Kodak Advantix F600 Zoom camera ... bought myself an APS camera about a year ago and opted for a Kodak one. I did this because Kodak are well known for film so I presumed they make good cameras too. It is a nice looking camera. Finished in Silver with a retractable zoom lense, it looks a lot more expensive than the £100 I spent on it. The corners are very smooth so it sits nicely in your hand and is about the size of your average compact 35 mm camera. It is also a very lightweight camera for its size. Film auto winds as with most modern cameras so there is no chance of forgetting to do this. It has a built in flash for when you are snapping in low level light and a point and shoot action. Basi... APS Cameras in General ... anyone considering buying an APS camera I would have to say: think very carefully before you do so. I believe the majority of people would be better off sticking with conventional 35mm film, or taking the plunge and going digital. APS was launched amid much fanfare in 1996 - a time when digital cameras were fairly primitive and expensive, but were already starting to gain ground. The new system was meant to have a number of advantages over conventional film, but having used an APS camera (albeit a fairly basic Canon Ixus compact) for about two years, I have not been convinced. At first glance, the most obvious difference at between APS and conventional film is th... Read the full review: The worst of both worlds by robkingston |

Pentax MZ 7 ... is an excellent and fun camera to use. I first thought the illuminated control dial was a gimmick, but it really is useful in dim light or when doing night photography. This one has all the features one could want, full auto and manual modes, picture modes, auto pop up flash, it even can do multiple exposures and can, with extra accessory, use a wireless remote shutter release. Exposures are right on the spot. Metal lens mount and many metal reinforcements ensures a long life. In my personal opinion, this camera feels more solid than the competition from Canon and Minolta in this market segment. I like this camera, excellent for beginners, snapshooters and photo ama...
