Isn’t that cheap or what? Canon EOS 50E + Sigma 28mm – 300mm lens for only £300!!!! I spotted this offer at eBay.co.uk. This item is on auction, the final price may a little higher, or much higher depending on how hot the item is. Even at £400, this combo is worth every single penny. The body alone cost £350 (new). The lens should cost no less than £200 as well.

Personally, I think the Canon EOS 300 looks better, but it is a camera for people who wish to switch to “real camera” from point & shoot, whereas the Canon EOS 50E is meant for amateur/semi-pro. The 50E is bulkier and heavier. Probably not ideal for people who are very used to point & shoot camera.

If you have got friends in the US, you can ask them to bid for you, but you pay the shiipping from US to UK. The US eBay (www.eBay.com) has got hundreds of cameras on auction at any one time. The 50E is known as Elan IIe in the US.
