The N1 is an impressive camera. Results are 35mm at its very finest. The Vario-Sonnar 24-85mm zoom is in a class of its own - the resolution, contrast, coverage and total absence of linear distortion throughout the zoom and aperture range are uncanny. This is due in part to the huge glass elements in its design, the weight of which makes the assembly liable to lateral movement, and the closest focusing distance a little long. 82mm filters are expensive, and close-up supplementary lenses unobtainable.
