Advantages: These cameras take very good photographs and are very easy to use

Disadvantages: Sometimes skin looks washed out if the timing is wrong

WHAT IS IT?

A single use disposable camera with flash.  It is made by Kodak, a well known and respected brand.

HOW DO YOU USE IT?

This is a very basic camera that already has the film in and the flash installed so it is ready to use as soon as you unwrap it.  You look through the viewfinder to frame your photograph and just press the button to capture it.

THE RESULTS

When you get the photographs developed you have to take the whole camera in, I took mine to Tesco and it cost about £6 to get them developed.  I think that is good value for 39 photographs.  I bought a pack of 3 cameras for when my daughter was born in June and out of all those photographs only 5 didn't come out and were pure black prints even though I had taken them as I normally would. I don't mind losing a few though because most of the rest of the photographs came out perfectly with sharp images and bright honest colours.

WHAT I THINK

I like how easy the cameras are to use. I bought them to start with so that my daughters could take photographs of their baby sister and get proper prints instead of just loading them onto the computer like when we use our digital cameras.  The camera is easy to hold in my hand and also in my daughters smaller hands, it's shaped so that you can put your hand in a good position for taking steady photographs.

The flash is bright and that is good when you are taking photographs in low light, it is not as effective as the flash on my digital camera but I did not expect it to be.  It does not cause many problems with red eye and that is good because you cannot edit printed photographs like you can on the computer.  Sometimes when you take a photo when the natural light is just fading it can make faces look paler than they should be and that is a shame but for a disposable camera I do not think that is much if a disadvantage because I would expect little things like that to go wrong.

Most of our photographs look good and are as good as any I would take on my digital camera. I like that there is no delay at all between pressing the button and the photograph being taken because that has let us take action shots that I would probably have missed with the delay on my digital camera. I have taken a beautiful photograph of my 3 daughters all together, they are all wearing red clothing and I was very happy with how bright the red colours came out and that photograph looks beautiful in a frame and you would not think it was from such a cheap disposable camera.  You can use these Fun Flash cameras indoors or outdoors and the results are good wherever you are.  They would be good to buy or a child who is going on a school trip.

ANYTHING ELSE

A set of 3 of these cameras costs £13 on Amazon but when you buy them you need to take into account the price of developing the photographs. I still think it is good value and if you shop round you can sometimes find these cameras with free developing at certain shops.

4 Dooyoo Stars.
