This camera was my first SLR and to be honest it's so good I've never changed it. I've had it for about 5 years now and it's still operating perfectly, not a single hitch. I've never had it serviced either, and it still performs and looks as good as the day I bought it. You can get into a trap with all auto SLRs of choosing really good cameras and really cheap lenses. I opted for some Minolta lenses when I bought it, all of them zooms (75-300 and 28-80). To be honest they were pretty poor, especially the 75-300 zoom. A while went by and I'd been looking at the 50mm fixed length lenses you always see available in second hand shops. ...
