Advantages: Makes good photos easy
Disadvantages: No zoom
I've had this camera for over seven years now, and it's brilliant. It's very compact and easy to use, and manages to strike the difficult balance of having enough options to make it flexible without having so many you can't work out how to use them. There are a choice of flash modes, including fill-in flash (used in daylight to cancel out the effects of a bright light source such as a window behind your subject). Arguably less successful is the red-eye reduction, a sort of strobe effect which does little for red-eye but will get perfect photos of bemused friends! You press one button to scroll through and select flash options, with the current selection appearing by name on the display window. The other function button on the camera sets the self-timer. These are the only buttons apart from the shutter release. You can click and hold the focus/exposure, thus getting sharp, clear pictures of off-centre subjects. The film is easy to load, with a clear panel at the back of the camera enabling you to see the information on the cannister (speed, number of exposures etc) and there's an easy-to-read display on top of the camera giving information in a simple and uncluttered way. The camera itself is robust and reliable. I've used at parties, holidays, days out, in the rain... and dropped it a number of times... since getting it, and it's been incredibly reliable. I just dread it dying from old age! Definitely a good buy!
