Brought this camera only because the one I had my eye wasn't available and I needed a camera that day. I'm glad the other camera wasn't in stock, this is the best manual camera I've ever brought, the picture quality is excellent which is the main thing, plus it has the option date and time stamp each photo which I found comes in very handy. As an owner of this camera I thought I would have a look at any opinions that had been written about it. Having read the one opinion on this camera I have to disagree with pretty much everything that has been written about the camera. In terms of loading the film it is much the same as any other camera. You place the film in it's holder pull the film out enough so that it is placed inside the winder, close up and take a couple of pictures in order to wind the film on. The Olympus Superzoom 700XB seemed like an ideal birthday present for my better half. A decent looking camera with lots of listed features from an established name. However upon trying to use the camera we found a few problems. The first is in loading the film. Due to the confusion about whether the film had loaded properly or not we accidentally fully-wound a film back into its case - one film completely wasted. The film has to go in upside-down and the catch to wind it on does not reassure you that it is completely working. Then there is the film counter.
