Some months ago I had to buy myself a new camera because the previous one was stolen. At the beginning, I thought of going to the second hand market and buying a classic model (and who knows, perhaps to find “my” camera), but at the end I had my boyfriend convincing me to give a vote of trust to the modern technique and to choose something more up to date. Pentax MZ50 This camera is ideal as an entry level SLR because it is so easy to use. It can be set to fully automatic (where you need not worry about setting the aperture or shutter speed) and has various picture modes (Landscape, Macro etc.) which mean you can use this as a point and shoot camera. The picture quality achieved in these modes is very good with excellent colour balance and I have had no problems with it. Automatic modes can be a little restrictive but this camera also features manual modes where you can alter the settings yourself.
