We have just returned from Callow Top and I have to say in all honesty we were a little disappointed. The location was nice enough, in the Derbyshire hills, and on the Tissington Trail, but it was a very busy site and not at all quiet, especially on Saturday night when the female vocalist entertainment could be heard in field 5, 200 yards away from the Callow Inne. I was also not impressed with the opening hours of the site reception and the shop both closed at 5pm. There was little parental supervision at the on site pool which was not enforced by the site management, despite signs and CCTV.
A few people we spoke to had visited previously and seemed satisfied but it isnt a site we will be returning to.
