Newest Review: ... would be arriving that evening and gave them the approx time to expect us. We arrived about 10 mins early and when we rang reception from the gate they were surprised that we were there as they had no idea that our daughter was coming home, the earlier shift hadnt informed them! Still, they let us in without asking for any ID, and they had no idea what vehicle we were in and how many people were with us. I believe that we could have walked through the camp totally unchallenged, the oldest member of staff on at night is approx 22 and it is run, at least during the evening and night, by a skeleton staff, there were 3 members of staff on d... more

Camp Beaumont: Dont go!!!! (462 words)

we collected our daughter 4 days early due to her being extremely unhappy. Her dorm smelled of urine, the food portions were small, and there wasnt enough of each dish to give all of the kids a choice. The staff do not seem to communicate properly and are more than prepared to lie to give parents a false impression. Our daughter and a few other girls were bullied by a group of girls which the staff seemed to be oblivious to and totally uninterested. We phoned the camp 3 hours prior to collection of our daughter to inform them that we would be arriving that evening and gave them the approx time to expect us. We arrived about 10 mins early and when we rang reception ...  Read the complete review

I was quite surprised to see some of the reviews on here so I felt oblidged to write one myself. Have no illusions, do not send your child here. I've first hand experience that staff are undertrained, underpaid, proberly underage too for supervising a night shift starting at 8pm at a ratio of nearly 100-1 child to staff. Fire risk and health and safety issues looked evident and I'm sure a visit will be forthcoming. I saw one eleven year old boy in tears at reception, not allowed to phone his parents because he was being put in issolation for the night for swearing. I saw another child similar age showing a wound to his hand recieved from a blow by another child. After ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Camp Beaumont - The Working Parents Dream! (353 words)

The idea of sending my child away from home to be looked after by people i have never met before filled me with dread and to be honest, the idea terrified me. However, as all parents know, when a child wants something it is very hard to refuse, especially given the amount of effort Mark (my son) went to in researching the camp, finding out costs and even comparing costs to how much his babysitter charges! The camp offers 24hr supervision and care for children between the ages of 7 & 17yrs old, and during the day provide around 10 activities ranging from Abseiling and Climbing to Quad biking and Kayaking. There is no way that during ...  Read the complete review

camp beaumont was wicked!! what a summer i had! gr8 time at camp i went this year to the house in norfolk and it was amazin!! met so many new mates from all over the world, france, spain, jamaica, even mauritius! we did loads of cool activities, like archery, climbing, abseiling, stuff i'd never done before but always wanted to try out - have even started climbing in my free time with a club at home. it's really chilled out place and you can hang out with new mates or do however many activities you want! it's sometimes a bit strict but guess they have to have rules! but it's still pretty laid back. i'm 18 now so can't go again next year as too old, am gutted as i didn't ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Camp Beaumont - Simply the Best! (156 words)

I stayed at the Island in 2005 and then the House! in 2006 and both were absolutely cool. The Island is the biggest camp and has loads of great activities and also a lot of stuff going on in the evening. In the last couple of years they have got a bit stricter on bed times and rules so if you are older than 15 you are better off going to the House! in Norfolk where they are more chilled and kids come from everywhere in the world(which is where I went back). They had loads of special events this year like the foam party and fashion week which were really cool. My friends went to PGL and also Real Camps and I am sure that Camp Beaumont are the best and the staff are ...  Read the complete review
