Advantages: cheap way to see Paris

Disadvantages: Site could be better

We've also stayed at Camping International near Paris. In fact that is how we "did" Paris, we stopped there on the way back from the South of France for three nights. We were actually with Keycamp at the time, but we tend to use Eurocamp now - not that there is much between them.
Zog is right, it is a cheap way to see Paris, and flexible as you can combine it with a visit to somewhere else as well like we did. There are a range of caravans available, so you can choose according to your budget and party size.
The caravan site is in quite a convenient location. It is very easy indeed to catch the train into Paris. And it is quite a nice location, overlooking the Seine.
Having said that, when we were there the camp site did have a bit of a neglected air to it. That was four years ago, so it could have improved since then, and it wasnt bad, it was just that we were used to nicer campsites - Eurocamp's sites normally are first rate. But you wont be on the site much anyway. We also made the mistake of using the resteraunt on the site one night, and the service was atrocious, I would recommend eating in Paris instead. But again it could have improved since we were there.
The other slightly negative point I would add is that to get there (and back!) does involve navigating the Paris ring road! Not a task for the faint hearted! But if you wanted to take your car you would have to do that even if you were staying in a hotel, and it would cost you more.
