Camping in Curacao was quite an adventure, first flying into Curacao you have to explain to the authorities that you will be camping ,my advice is to tell them your camping on a friends land,and just make up some dutch name they will never know,then renting a car was quite high,but after you leave the traffic of Willemstad and get out to the mountains does the scenery get amazing. As my lady friend explained in our first review there are plenty of cliffs to climb and dive from,along with caves to explore.The water is crystal clear with lots of marine life 20 ft from shore. The inland lake is always full of pink flamingos and that is on the way to the Habitat Beach.The beach is located on the right turn before you climb the mountain to the guard house,go all the way to the end,there you will see the cabanas,store and tables all on the beach. There is plenty of parking and (bathrooms when open). After dark the crabs come out and roam the beaches and roads,these are not little crabs,very large with big claws. Steamable!! Its also legal to eat the wild goats and iguinas. Be careful not to get to greedy going home the coral are an endangered specis. Follow that trail and you will find adventure!!! A J usa
