Silence…not altogether, as the familiar sound of waves breaking from a distance echo with the wind. Day is breaking, accompanied by a cloud of fog, an everyday occurrence. We sneak out; each absorbed in our own thought from underneath our warm sleeping bags to meet the day. The sun with its brilliant rays will break through the hovering fog soon enough to provide us with a glorious day, but in the meantime a strong cup of coffee will do just fine. While having our breakfast (last night’s leftover supper), we plan our movements and destination for the day.
