Advantages: responsible ecolodge, very remote, on the beach!!!

Great place to stay. The people who owned the place are great and really look after the local environment.
Very remote place, far away from the beaten tracks.
very clean, tidy and secure.

I really liked the food served at the restaurant, very informal and sooo gooooooood! It was fun seeing the locals coming every morning and selling their fresh catch of the day to Los Cardones.

Facilities includes: showers, laundry service, restaurant, compost toilets, renting surf equipment, horses, guides.

Pricewise, it's very good given the quality of the service!

they even got a web site: http://www.loscardones.com which is very seldom for camping sites in Nicaragua... It is well done, and well kept up to date.

I went horse riding in the nearby countryside, fishing, surfing, hiking along the coast; locals are very friendly;

best place ever visited in NIC.

I spent a wonderful time there, will be back!
