Haggerston Castle Holiday Park

Owned by Haven Holidays this park is located just a few miles outside Berwick Upon Tweed and is very easy to find, just off the A1.

The park is rated 5 stars by Haven and after visiting I generally agree. The park is aimed at families and is great for kids

The park is set in the countryside and has a large boating lake. It is a very attractive park and is kept spotlessly clean by the staff.

Accommodation-
There are a variety of caravans available ranging from complete luxury (on-suite bathrooms, LCD TV's, gas central heating etc) to very basic accommodation (older vans, gas fire in the living room, pets allowed etc.) Prices vary greatly also.

My caravan was superior plus (medium range) and cost £499 for an 8 berth for one week in June. The caravan was clean, modern, well equipped and overall I was very happy with it. The location of the van could have been better. Due to the great British weather outside the van became quite muddy, as we were located on a small slope.

Park Facilities Include-
Indoor Pool, Outdoor Pool, Horse Riding, Quad Bikes, Bike Hire, Boating Lake with Pedalos, Traditional Restaurants, Chinese Restaurants, Supermarket, Show Bar with entertainment every evening, Kids show bar with daily and nightly entertainment a sports bar, an adults only bar, trampolines, golf course and much more.

My only complaint was some of the prices. A pint of lager was coming in at around £4. Just as well this was a family holiday!

Overall-
Not bad at all. Would recommend and possibly even return
