Advantages: well placed

Disadvantages: a lot of Brits (I prefer a more mixed site)

We visited this campsite on our way home from a motorhoming holiday this summer. It is a large site, well laid out and with good facilities, including several sanitary blocks. The site takes, motorhomes, caravans and tents as well as little holiday homes. There's a shop with basics, including the all important bread and croissants (best to pre-order the night before) and places to eat on site.

The pool was very popular, it can be outdoor or covered (covered when we were there) and is heated, but be warned, the slide is outdoor and comes down into a freezing cold pool - quite a shock!

There's mini golf as well and it was conveniently situated for the big shopping centre in Calais, for some last minute stocking up before heading home. Near to Calais, it's perfect a a first of last site when you are touring round, and we also found it conveniently suited for our ferry from Dunkerque. I must admit this wouldn't be a site where I'd plan to spend a whole holiday, but it's the ideal staging post.

Summary: well placed campsite with good facilities
