Disadvantages: Inexperienced holiday reps

We visited La Croix du Vieux Pont in July 2008. We do not normally do camping/caravanning, never mind on foreign soil. So this was very new to us. As a family we wanted to do something different and visit Euro Disney and Paris region.

La Croix du Vieux Pont is a fabulous camp site, which caters for a wide variety of people - as a well equipped campsite and as a base for exploring the Paris region.

We enjoyed the site and the Paris region so much we are returning in May 2009 and taking another 9 members of our family, to share the real holiday experience. There is so much more for us to do there.

We spoke to other families there and many of them return year after year - which is a recommendation in itself.

You have to remember this is a local campsite and a very good one. Although Eurocamp / Keycamp / Siblu and Co have their reps on site - they do not own the site. These companies tend to recruit inexperienced younger staff, many of them try to do a good job - I am not making excuses but what do you expect when you are paying for a camping / caravaning holiday.

You can spend an absolute fortune on glorified all inclusive package holidays but this is a real holiday, when the kids play safely and enjoy long summer days.

Summary: Visited La Croix du Vieux Pont in July 2008. And going back May 2009 with another 9 family members.
