Adequate site in a great location. (Le Frejus)

Disadvantages: Lack of facilities and poor information.

We spent 10 days at this site in July and I have very mixed views on it.

My first impressions were negative but I do not like caravan holidays to start with so admit to a certain bias. This was not changed by the fact that the shower did not work and we were almost 1 full day without running water.

I found the facilities on site to be very basic and the supermarket to be poorly stocked and hugely overpriced. Perhaps my expectations were unrealistic but I had expected a cash machine and they don't have one. Fortunately both of these gripes can be solved within a few minutes drive away where there is a cash facility and a well stocked, well priced supermarket.

Another point worth raising is that the toilet facilities are unisex which some may find strange. It's a novel experience to be standing at a urinal as a group of women walk in chatting. For them too, I expect.

We booked through Siblu and found the staff friendly and very willing to help but sorely lacking in local knowledge. They had little experience and could not provide much more information than was available on marketing brochures. Most had only been in the area for a couple of months. If you intend to go here it would be useful to do some online searching and take the information with you.

On-site entertainment is provided free of charge but don't expect too much interaction in English.

The most positive aspect of the site is its location rather than its amenities.
