i purchasd a van from the site in the middle october 2010 2 weeks before the site closed for the season and got a bill for £800 in november for site fees and electric etc. a month later i got another bill for site fees for £1300. in march 2011 i paid £2000 to clear this even though i queried the high price for the £800 bill when we only had use of the van for 2 weeks and was told that was to cover rates, water and electric for 2011. ok didnt think this was too bad but then got another bill in july for another £800+ for electric,water rates etc. when i queried this one was told "oh yes this bill always comes every july so the last one you paid was only up till now. due to family circumstances we where unable to visit at all from august 2011 and all of 2012 so in march i put the van up for 2012 i put the van up for sale. put a sign in the window and went into the site office and gave them a set of keys explaining the circumstances and if a buyer should come get what ever they can for it. shortly after recieved another bill this time for £3000 for a van we where unable to use. contacted the site to query this as i was lead to understand if your van was up for sale and you were not using it you were not charged electric water etc and no site fees as they take a percentage of sale price. made contact and said if you can sell the van for £4500 you can take what you want and was just laughed at by the woman in the office who said "no van on this site is worth that much you might get £2000 if you are very lucky but that wont cover our bill" i just hung up in disgust. last letter i recieved they were threatening to remove my van from the site without futher notice. well good luck to them they can have it as far as i am concerned that settles the bill.
