Treago Farm Crantock Nr Newquay. Description: Treago farm is a well run, extremely well cared for and maintained holiday site, with a good mixture of static caravans, touring caravans and camp pitches available for people who are looking for a place close to the exciting holiday resort of Newquay. Directions/Location: --------------------- As you Approach Newquay on the A392, instead of turning right to go to Newquay, go straight on the A3075, take the next right and follow the signs for Crantock and Treago farm. The site is well sign posted from the main road and is approximatly 10 minutes drive from the Newquay turning. The farm is just located on the outskirts of Crantock village, a pictures little village, with a decent range of local ammenities including shop, pubs, post office and tea rooms. The highlight of the campsite is the short distance to Crantock beach, this easily accesible through a range of footpaths Crantock beach has to be one of the most picturesque and clean beaches in this country, the sand and water are both immaculatly clean, the beach is also patrolled by lifeguards, with safety at the forefront. The beach has plenty of dunes and caves to keep youngsters amused, as well as ice cream vans and shacks to hire wetsuits and surfboards. The best feature of the beach is that it never gets busy, so beach frisbee and football are never a hassle. For the livelier member in the party, who require a bit of nightlife Newquay is easy accesible by a 15 minute car/or taxi ride(usually only about £2 a person). Facilities: -------------- The site has a host of faciliies which include. shop- The camp shop is as well stocked as any town cornershop with products ranging from Toiletries, papers, fresh bread, milk, frozen food, packaged food and also usefull items for those camping such as gas bottles sun cream etc. The store is open most of the day, prices are about the same
as highstreet prices. Bar- The site has its own bar for guests, stocking a good range of draught and bottled beers at normal pub prices. The bar also has a pool table, dart board and host of games behind the bar for customer use. The bar is open from 8pm -11pm each evening. The site also has a seperate kids play room with another pool table and a TV. Washing- Treago provides about a dozen sinks for guests to wash their dishes, with never ending hot water! Also a deep chest refregiratot and fridge to allow guests to keep frozen and fresh food. Also available on site is a laundry and drying room available for use. There is also a pay telephone on site. Toilet facilities at this site are excellent with several toilet cubicals in each block, these are regulary cleaned and maintained by the staff. The shower block also host several sinks and shower cubicles for each sex, again maintained to a high standard. The shower facilities always has hot water available!! General: ------------ The site in general is excellent with well mown fields, always clean and plenty of water oulets and caravan electric points throught the site. This site is mainly a family site but they will accept groups if they book in advance, this site is very popular so booking in advance is always reccomended anyway. The site is a family run business and are never to busy to go out of their way to help and make the stay enjoyable. The best thing about this site is that its relaxed, safe and well mainained allowing a hassle free break. All at a very cheap price. All in all this is the best campsite I have ever stayed at, being the only one were there is always hot water on tap.
