A great place to go for a family day out in the summer. There are a variety of different things to do e.g. Assault course, lake, train rides, feeding ducks/swans and depending on the year, petting of lambs and sheep from the nearby farm. The walks on offer are extremely nice and best to do when the seasons change as the variety of wildlife increases. Very Disappointed with this Park (144 words)

We went a couple of weeks after Easter, so expected everything to be open. But no! The railway was closed and the promised animals didn't exist yet! We thought, that as it was after Easter, and, it is usual for most attractions start fully at Easter, that everything would be open. It is unusual to charge full price when things are not fully operational. Of the attractions that were there - there weren't many swings and slides - there was only one tractor for the children to explore - and there were just three diggers in the sand. We, therefore, we felt the amount of equipment was very poor. For four adults and an eighteen month old it cost us £25. The final straw was ...  Read the complete review

I do like this country park as it is very handy to where I live but there is very little to do there really. I spent many summers begging my mum to let me come here There is a very large lake to walk round, a short train ride, some animals to visit and a nice adventure playground. There is also another playground located at the top of a hill (very steep) were there are little obstacle type courses and slides. There is an adventure play area, a petting zoo, a lake where you can hire out boats, nature trials, picnic and BBQ areas, crazy golf, and a miniature railway. There is tonnes to do for every member of the family and th entrance fee is small, very good ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wellington Country Park: Good, but not Great (320 words)

Wellington Country Park Caravan Site is set in a Forest and Man-Made lake setting. Suitable for families and for boating enthusiasts as well as outdoor country lovers. Bring your wellies if it's wet!!! Facilities are average and access to the country park is free. In the summer, there is boating on the lake with boats for hire, plenty of picnic places but swimming is not permitted according to signs around the park. However, people do swim and there seems to be little done to enforce the rule. Don't expect any life saving support if you get into difficulties, though. There is a miniature steam railway but as it is operated by enthusiasts, it is generally only ...  Read the complete review
