excellent campsite in the heart of Amsterdam (Zeeburg)

This is a excellent campsite in the middle of Amsterdam. The site is a little island in the east of the city. It is a short tram or bike ride in to town. The campsite's brilliant location means that you can explore the many wonders of Amsterdam and still feel like your out in the countryside. The site is suitable for camper vans/caravans and tents. It was a little windy when we camped there but we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and give great tips of what to do in Amsterdam. There is a restaurant and shop on site and you can hire dutch bikes and canoes from the campsite as well. The facilities are all very clean and hygienic. The showers are very warm but you do have to buy tokens to use them. The site is not huge and is very popular, especially at the weekends so get there early. I would definitely recommend this site if you want to experience the joys of Amsterdam whilst on a budget.
