Advantages: Easy to blow up and inflate, very comfy, like the velour materal non slip, big enough

Disadvantages: None

Camping as a family we have had to upgrade to a four man tent and although that is enough room for two adults and two small children to more around in i didn't want be be using all the space up with air beds but after a few very rough nights on roll up camping mats an air bed was a must. We already have an adults air bed so decided one single air bed would be enough for the girls to share for now and would not take up too much room.

I choose the campingaz single air bed because it happened to be on offer at my time of purchase (march 2011) from Argos. Campingaz air bed cost me £12.99. You can buy a campingaz air bed from halfords, homebase, b&q and the ourdoor store. Amazon and ebay uk also sell the campingaz single air beds at a cheap prices online.

Campingaz airbed comes rolled up inside a vacuumed sealed plastic bag and has a puncture repair kit with it, i though including the puncture kit was a great idea.
A pump is required to blow the air bed up, we didn't test the bed before use , just took it with us easter weekend and blow it up on site where we were camping. It takes around fifteen minutes to do with a foot pump, much quicker if you are lucky enough to have an electric pump. After the pumping the valve locks itself to prevent any air being lost. When fully inflated the bed is nice and hard.

The campinga airbed measures' around 74 inches long, big enough to take an adult, measures 74 inches wide and around 7 inches thick. The air bed is made from pvc and is dark blue in colour, on top of the air bed its lined with some velour type material. I liked the material finish on the top of the air bed because it stops the sleeping bag or sheets slipping off. We use a fitted single sheet on it with two sleeping bags zipped out for my daughters and they manage to sleep top to tail (one at the top and one at the bottom. They are three years old so plenty room for both of them.

Campingaz air bed has a coiled structure inside to give support to the body and added comfort. My daughters both had a wonderful few nights sleep on the bed and woke looking a feeling refreshed ready for the day ahead. We have never camped on even ground, beside a lock the ground is very rough and lumpy but on the air bed this makes no difference as you can feel it.

On the day we were packing up the air bed got covered in mud and i wanted to wash it down when i got home so did it with the hose in the garden left to dry and a few house later it was fine.

I too have had a few nights sleep on the air bed when we had visitors last month and i camped out in the living room. The air bed was much comfortable than i had expected and plenty of room to move around without falling off.

I have not had any punctures yet so the kit is still untouched. I got a bargain on the campingaz air bed and its a purchase i am glad i made. I highly recommend the campingaz air bed.
