“ Brand: Argos / Type: Airbed / Mattress „
I go hiking in woodland quite often and sometimes this includes camping overnight under the stars with friends. Although I love the great outdoors, I also like a good night's sleep and so I decided an air bed would be a good addition to my camping kit. After a bit of searching I came across this PVC Double Airbed by Campri in Sports Direct for only £9.99. I thought this was really reasonable so I bought it. It is also available in Argos and Amazon for the same price.
This airbed comes in just one colour; navy, and the mattress and frame are both made from a PVC material. The airbed both looks and feels well-made and strong and the PVC definitely gives it more durability than say fabric. As you would expect the material is also waterproof and can be washed by simply giving it a quick wipe down. It also has an "internal coil structure". I'm not entirely sure what this means but it is supposed to provide comfort and stability on the ground. A repair patch is also included in the box in case you need it. The size of the 1.5kg airbed measures 23 (H) x 185 (L) x 79 (W) cm (plenty of room for two people) and can support people weighing up to a maximum of 120kg.
The best thing about this airbed is how quick and simple it is to set up. Campri claim that the airbed "inflates in 50 seconds and deflates in 30 seconds". I think this is quite accurate although it is important to use a good quality pump as well. It's worth noting that a pump is not included with the airbed, so if you don't already have one you'll need to get one. The double-lock valves ensure the system is airtight. Once I'd inflated it and sorted out all my bedding I tentatively settled down for my first nights sleep and was pleasantly surprised - not only was it really comfy and warm to sleep on but it held it's shape really well and by morning was still just as thick and air-filled as the night before. Brilliant!
Overall I think this a great airbed, especially given the price I paid for it. When deflated it can be folded up nice and small making it easy to transport and is very versatile - as well as outdoors, the airbed is also perfectly suitable to use in the house for when guests come over to stay. So, I will definitely be recommending the PVC Double Airbed.

I can deal with most things life throws at me as long as I get a decent night sleep. I need at least 7 hours sleep not to be a grouchy moo, just ask my partner. So a few months ago the suggestion of camping popped up with my partners family and dread washed threw me straight away. As a child, going camping meant sleep with a duvet on the floor and a sleeping bag, which subsequently meant a very uncomfortable night sleep.
I agreed to go camping on the condition that we buy our own air bed and that it should be a decent one. I set my partner the task of shopping for the air bed whilst I organised all the other bits I would need to bring (it was a very long list). The day of camping arrived and my partner pulled out a medium sized box, which looked cheap, and my heart sank. I asked my partner how much he spent on the air bed and he told me that it was £7.99 from Argos. To say I wasn't happy would be an understatement. Seeing as it was the day we were going camping I had to stop moaning (which was very difficult) and deal with it.
When we got to the camp site it was the men's job to put up the tents, whilst the women dealt with everything else, including bedding. I used an electric pump, which plugged into the cigarette lighting in my car, and the bed inflated within minutes. Once inflated, I sealed the valves and it was ready to go.
The first night of camping I was quite dubious about my first night sleep but as soon as I laid down I was pleasantly surprised. It did not take very long to get comfortable and within a matter of minutes my partner and I were sound asleep. The following morning I woke up to the bed still being fully inflated (I had a dream that it would be flat as a pancake in the morning) and apart from my partner hogging the duvet that night, I had a very comfortable night sleep. The following 4 nights were also incredibly comfortable and overall I was very happy with the air bed.
The measurements of the bed are 23cm H x 193cm L x 142cm W and it weighs 2.7kg. This is big enough for two adults, however the maximum user weight is 200kg. The air bed came in a cardboard box but once you have used the air bed it is incredibly difficult to get it back in. Inside the box was the instructions and a repair kit. The bed is made from PVC, which means it is waterproof and easy to clean.
I would highly recommend this air bed. It is perfect for camping and also if you have guests over. I have used this a couple of times when friends or family come to stay and they have always asked me where I got the bed from. The price of this bed is incredibly cheap and it is extremely good value for money. I am going to give this air bed 5 out of 5 Dooyoo stars.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review :o)
An air bed is simple something that you can't go without when camping and as the summer was coming I popped down to my local argos and bought this one . Although having bought branded before I decided that I'd try something new and tried this one.
Once I tried opening the argos £10 pounds airbed looked identical to campingaz airbed that i'd ever bought before. The seams of the airbed all looked fairly strong and even the valves were identical to any that I had before. This was a relief for me as I have in the past seen own brand as a bit of inferior alternative. But in this case it simple was not the case. Within the box also included patches but unfortunately no pump.
Once Id blown up the bed me and partner had no problems at all and unlike the description which says 90 seconds to inflate I think the item was complete as described. Thee nights sleep was absolutely fantastic with some airbed I find that you wake up in the morning with a half flat bed ,but this was not the case.
Another great thing about this is the fact that it pvc and not fabric meaning that if like us you have a bit of rubbish tent which leaks it simple will wipe off . In addition the valves are fantastically good as they mean that air cant escape if the top comes off it which will lead to no little costly accidents.
So overall this airbed is fantastique and although the box is much too small like all other air bed I simple can't complain and I think that this would be a great buy to any family.
