Advantages: Cheap, reliable, nice easy wallet
Disadvantages: None
This is an essential product for anybody who works a lot on car audio in vehicles either for a job or as a bit on the side.
Basically it is a selection of release keys that will help you to remove almost any stereo produced without the need to force them out or break anything in the process. Autoleads produce many products for car audio and they are always of a high quality. I have owned these keys for about 2 years now and obviosly there is some wear on some of the ones which are used more frequently than others, however, they still work perfectly and do the job properly.
These keys are quite reasonably priced too, at around £20 delivered this is a bargain compared to if you were to buy them all seperately, where you could be paying up to £4 per set of the more recent keys. There are other sets out there, I think Draper and Sealey produce them, yet these are usually priced at around £50 and come in quite a big box, almost like a plastic tool chest, and for me are too pricey and too big. These keys come in a small zip up wallet with a pocket for each set and it is small and light enough to be carried around between places. I usually put a few screwdrivers in the pack too as they are almost always needed for fitting stereos.
If you do buy these dont think that immediatly you will be able to remove any stereo ever produced in any car, because you wont. Some will be bolted in, yet may not be obvious that this is the case. These keys will not be able to help you in this situation. Also you will find that some stereos there is a 'knack' to removing it, and isnt as simple as put the keys in, pull them out and the stereo will come with it! With anything though, given time you will be able to do this and these keys will help you to become better and more efficent.
Overall I would reccommend these to anybody who has recently started working on vehicles audio equipment, or if you do quite a lot of fitting for a hobby. If you simply want to do the odd job, then you will probably be better just buying the keys you need for the job.
Summary: Essential if you do a lot of work on vehicles audio systems.
