You will never be without it

      Nav Mat

Here is a quick scenario for you, do you plan a trip somewhere, place your Sat Nav on the car window screen and within seconds or longer if you're lucky, it falls off, distracting you from driving or your passenger has to hold it all the way to the destination? This is what me and my husband had to do as the sticky part that sticks to the window screen would not stay put and always without fail fell off.

After years of this (it felt like years anyway) I found the Nav Mat, which I came across accidently. I was looking for a Christmas present and came across this; I had no hesitation in purchasing it as it had to be better in what I was doing, which was holding it everywhere we went.

Nav Mat say this product is easily portable, and easy to hide away from view of prying eyes. It is great for safety as there is no ring on the window screen to say you own a Sat Nav and most likely to keep it in the car, thus theft, Nav Mat is also licensed by the Association of Chief Police Officers through their anti-theft design. The base is weighed down and it anti-skid, which contours with your dashboard no matter that make of car you use it in. You can attach your device to it with ease and you can see it easily whilst driving and there are no tools required, simply attach your model and away you go.

This seemed really good but I couldn't get over the cost, £19.99 and £5 to post it. I thought it was very steep for such a simple thing but as it was a Christmas present I bought it. I bought it from www.navmat.co.uk

I receive it 4ish days later and I was surprised at the heavy the package was. The Nav Mat weighs 1kg in total so it is quite weighty. It comes in a sealed plastic moulded shape to fit the Nav Mat, you do need either a knife or scissors to open the packaging. Because we we're going away before Christmas I let my husband have it earlier, after all its benefiting me as well. At first I told him what it was and he thought I bought something, cheap and tacky. When he opened the packing himself he was surprised at how well it is made and how heavy it is. The underneath of the product does have anti-skid backing that is sown into the actual mat so it won't come undone with time. The material is heavy duty yet durable, the middle of the mat is shiny plastic and this is where you secure your Sat Nav, instructions are included incase you have a different model of Sat Nav.
The mat is 20cm by 3cm height, so it's not too bulky.

We used this on the first trip and have done every single time after. It doesn't matter where on the dashboard you place the Nav Mat it sticks there and won't move, even if you do go around a corner a little too fast. Placing our Sat Nav on the mat was very easy, we just wet the suction and suck it on; it has been on ever since without readjusting or it falling off. it is very easily portable, pick it up and take it with you, the material is very heavy duty, there is no scratch, scuff it looks completely brand new.

I do like the fact there is no circle rings on the window screen anymore from the suction of our Sat Nav. You can't help but wonder if someone looks at things like this and wonders if your Sat Nav is in the car and breaks in, I have heard stories of this happening as well. We also found with it on the window screen even if you clean it away, as soon as some light hits the spot you can still see the circle!

Navmat.co.uk say if you're not happy they will give you your money back, I can't ever see us giving this back, it is properly the best and most usable product my husband has ever used so it's a very good buy.

I would defiantly recommend this product with no hesitation what so ever. You will not be disappointed.

Small weighted ring to hold your sat nav on the dashboard

This small (19.5cm in diameter) heavily weighted ring enables you to position your sat nav on the dashboard without having the tell tale suction ring on the windscreen which could explain why it has "Secured by Design - Official Police Security Initiative" all over the packaging.

The nav mat contours to the top of the dashboard allowing it to work on uneven and textured surfaces and the anti skid underside keeps your device from sliding.

As there is no fastening or installation needed the mat can be moved from vehicle to vehicle.

The mat is very simple to use simply place it on the dashboard and attach your sat nav, in it's suction holder in the middle of the disc, lock the suction cup in place and your sat nav is ready to be used and will not move whilst you are travelling. There are instructions on the packaging explaining what to do and there is a sticker in the middle of the ring stating "place your sat-nav windscreen mount here".

It is definitely worth the price tag as you will be secure in the knowledge that people will not be aware of you having a sat nav in the car as there are no markings on your windscreen.
