I have had my little second hand Micra for almost a year and it's been well used by three previous owners. I think some of them must have had kids as there were quite a few stains on t back seats even when I got it last year. It had a stale smell which wasn't nice and so I have bought air fresheners to hang up o the front mirror and the one I like best is the Cherry one called jelly Belly. I also like the vanilla one in this range for a change but the Cherry fragrance seems to last the longest of the two and everyone notices it whenever they get into my car. The air freshener was bought from the garage when I went to fill up with petrol and this one I have had in the car for around three weeks now so the cherry smell's still quite strong and intense. I have had these Cherry ones before and they usually last about 6 to 8 weeks before the smell finally all disappears. This is about the fourth one I have had now and I love them. The smell is sweet and fresh and it seems to mask the smell of the car itself which is a bit of a blessing because when the weather gets hot and the car has been standing in full sunlight it can get a bit smelly in there. I often think that something has died in it and never been discovered so an air freshener such as this one is essential for me. I pay £2 for these fresheners and they are nice looking as well as being effective at covering up offensive smells. This Cherry one I have looks like a strange shaped bean and is red in colour, bright red and curved in its shape to look a little bit like a half moon. I drape mine from the mirror at the front of the car and it just dangles there. Now, whenever I have my car in the parking bay at college and it's been sitting in full sun I know I will be coming back to a car that smells nicely of fruity cherries rather than baby vomit. I really recommend these.
Jelly Belly jelly beans are my all time favourite jelly beans, being very flavourful and fun with so many weird and wonderful flavours to choose from. As well as coming in sweet form they also come in car air freshener form, can't really see the link or correlation there but they are fun and a nice smelling fragrance to keep your car fresh too. You can purchase the Jelly Belly jelly bean car air fresheners from Halfords where they are priced at £3.99, pricey yes compared to a Magic Tree air freshener which, lets face it does basically the same thing but only costs £1.99 so basically half price, but, every now and again I like to buy one of these for the car as I love the smell and I also like to have one hanging from my rear view mirror. I always get compliments from people who have not been in my car before when they see it and smell it and they always say, "wow, I want one too." The air freshener looks just like a real jelly belly only bigger. It is in a bean shape, slightly curved and almost looks good enough to eat. The smell of these are amazing. My favourite one is the Very Cherry smelling air freshener but they also do a really nice Blue Berry smelling one too. The blue berry air freshener is a darkish blue colour and the cherry one is coloured red. They are so sweet and juicy smelling. Very Cherry does smell quite cherry like although I think its hard to put a finger on just what cherry smells like. Whatever it is its sweet and a very addictive flavour, I love the smell of it. When you first put these in your car they are very strong and a little bit overpowering. If you park your car and then go back into it the next morning you just have to open the door and the smell will hit you straight away although give it a few days and the smell does start to calm down a bit and instead you are just left with a fresh sweet smelling car. The jelly bean has a little loop on the top of it which enables you to hang it up in your car. You can either hang it from your rear view mirror but I think this sometimes gets in the way so I like to hang it from my left hand indicator so it is still hanging but out of the way and not in your line of vision. All in all these are quite a little novelty air freshener but fun and nice smelling.
I bought my first car almost six months ago now, we all know how special our first car is and the same goes for me. I love my little Doris and do all I can to keep her in a fantastic condition and looking and smelling her best. To keep her smelling good, I always make sure there is an air freshener hanging from my interior mirror (along with my pink fluffy dice!). The air freshener I'm using at the moment is this Jelly Belly very cherry. It comes in a transparent plastic packaging attached to a cardboard backing with the product name and cute picture of jelly beans all over it. The transparent packaging means you can see exactly what you are buying. I paid a little under £2 for my air freshener from Tesco. The air freshener is red in colour and is shaped like a large jelly bean in a banana shape. As soon as you take it out of the packaging you are met with a sweet cherry fragrance. Once it's hung from the interior mirror (or back ceiling handles, whatever takes your fancy) it fills the car with the same cherry fragrance, I think the fragrance name of very cherry is absolutely right, it is very cherry smelling! The smell is more noticeable when you first get in the car and as your nostrils get used to the smell it does turn more into a subtle scent the longer you are in the car. I found the most intense smell lasted for around a month, then as the days went by the fragrance got a little more subtle each time I got in the car, and after around 6 weeks the smell had gone completely. For a car air freshener I think the longevity of this particular one is fantastic, it lasted brilliantly for the price. At just under £2, I think this air freshener for Jelly Belly is absolutely fantastic value for money. The very cherry fragrance is fabulous and lasts a good 6 weeks before disappearing. I'll definitely be trying different fragrances from the range!
~~~~~~ Jelly Belly Air Freshener - Very Cherry. ~~~~~~ Now I know that these air freshener are meant for the car and are usually found in the car accessory aisle in supermarkets but when we first moved into our previous house the bedrooms had built-in wardrobes which were made from wood. The wood smelt quite musty and old so I didn't really want to hang our clothes in them. Sitting in the car one day I had a bit of a brainwave! As I was sat outside Asda whilst my hubby ran in to get a few bits of shopping I thought I would quickly pop in and grab three of these Jelly Belly Air Fresheners and hang them in the wardrobes in the hope they would get rid of the 'old' smell that was in there. Previous to this I have often bought these air fresheners for the car because I think they look quite funky hanging on the rear view mirror and they have great scents that last really well. At one point I had 3 or 4 of these hanging there as they looked really cool! ~ Packaging ~ The packaging is very simple. Just a cardboard sleeve with a little clear plastic bubble on the front allowing you to see the jelly bean shaped air freshener inside, on the front in the Jelly Belly logo and the scent of the freshener, theres also a few jelly beans scattered around. There are a good range of scent available and having tried most, Very Cherry is one of my favourites because I love cherry scents - in fact I am burning a Vanilla Cherry Yankee Candle Tart as I write this review! Oh, some of the packaging also have a little scratch and sniff tab! ~ What is it??? ~ This jelly bean is a flexible plasticky type material air freshener not like the cardboardy type Magic Tree air fresheners. This Very Cherry one is red in colour with Jelly Belly written on the front in white lettering, it's quite a large jelly bean measuring approx 3 inches long and 2 inches wide (roughly). It simply looks like an oversized flat(ish) jelly bean! ~ Very Cherry - The scent ~ As you would expect this does smell very much like cherries. It's a lovely sweet scent that is quite like the large 5p cherry sweets! As soon as you take this from the packaging the scent fills the car and is aparant for about 5-6 week, everytime you open the door you are hit with a lovely juicy cherry scent. ~ My thoughts ~ Having used this in my car quite a few times I already knew I loved the scent, so when I used them in the wardrobes I knew what to expect. I placed a little tack at the top of each wardrobe from which to hang the air freshener and as they are quite flat they sat flush against the wardrobe backing and didn't get in the way at all. Seeing as I thought I these wardrobes would never get used due to the musty smell I saw no harm in trying car air fresheners in them. For the first week or so the Jelly Belly beans hung in empty wardrobes and after a few days I noticed the musty smell becoming less aparant and pretty much un-noticable. Opening the doors now I was greeted with a burst of lovely cherriness and after a few more days I was happy enough to hang the clothes in the wardrobes. I pretty much always use Ariel washing powder for our laundry because I like how clean it gets the clothes and I love the scent that it leaves, so I am pleased to say that our clothes still smelt of Ariel rather than cherry, not because I don't like the smell, because I do, but I didn't want to smell like the inside of my car!! The insides of the wardrobes now smelt lovely and the air freshener lasted a lot longer inside these than in the car, I think it's probably due to no sun getting at them to dry them out. In the car I replace these every 5-6 weeks but in the wardrobe I am pleased to say that even after about 3 months there was still a hint of cherriness lingering around. So having had these in with clothes for 3 months (yep some had hung there that long... too many clothes!!) these didn't seem to have taken on a cherry scent at all and still just smelt clean. Whether used in the car or in the home I think these air fresheners are fantastic, they are not the cheapest priced at around £3+ each but Asda sometimes have them in a 2 for £3 deal so I grab them then. Thanks for reading :o) x (also posted on ciao under same name)
Most people love jelly beans! What's not to like, there funky coloured and taste great. Well now you can smell them! This new air freshened is brilliant, it is basically shaped like a giant jelly bean. You can buy these from supermarkets and high street stores. There quite large and retail at about £2. What I love most about them is that there are so many different flavours to choose from, you obviously can't eat them (even though they smell good enough to eat!) There more pricey than other air feesheners, I think it's worth the extra money Because these smell great and the smell lasts for weeks, other ones you buy only last a few days and they really are a waste of money. If you buy this and put it on your car, your car will smell really nice for a long time. I have the apple one in my car! When ever I open my car door I'm greeted with a great smell! I'm really happy with it. I have only had to buy two of these In 3/4 months. They also look great, a lot of effort has gone into the design. Yes it more of a gimmick, buy you can't deny that they smell brilliant. Friends and family who get in my car always say how nice it smells. My friends have got them in there cars too. You could even use it in your bedroom, it's such a fresh scent. I think that it is well worth giving a try, it's a lot better than I though that it was going to be! Thanks for reading
As I got into my daughter's car one day last year, the first thing I noticed was the lovely fruity smell which she told me was her car air freshener. The air freshener was one of these Jelly Belly, jelly bean shaped air fresheners and it was giving off such a lovely fragrance I knew I would have to buy one. I have used a variety of car air fresheners over the years and most I have found to be pine fragrances which have often reminded me of toilet cleaner, or weak smelling fragrances which have disappeared rather quickly. The best results I have experienced from a car air freshener have been from the plug-in types, but even those I have found do not last very long and can often be quite expensive. My daughter informed me that she was very impressed by the longevity of these Jelly Belly air fresheners and the one which was hanging in her car on that particular day, she had actually bought around 3 weeks previously, yet judging by the strength of fragrance which was evident in the car, I would have thought she had just bought it! Suitably impressed, I purchased a Very Cherry Jelly Belly car air freshener a couple of days later for my own car. I bought this particular one as it was the one my daughter had in her car, but there were a few different fragrances to choose from such as Tangerine, Blueberry and Tutti Frutti in my local Asda which is where my daughter had told me she'd purchased hers from. These Jelly Bean shaped air fresheners are quite quirky to look at and indeed they look and smell a lot better than those cheap toilet-cleaner smelling cardboard trees in my opinion. Then again I suppose you would expect quality from this brand as the Jelly Belly brand is one that has developed greatly over the last 50 years to become a recognised snack all over the world and the number one jelly bean. Taking the ingredients used in their jelly beans, they have sought to transfer the intensity of the taste into scents for their in-car air fresheners. As soon as I hung my jelly bean air freshener in the car it filled the car with its fruity scent. I was aware of the subtle fragrance all the time whilst in the car, but what I like most is getting into the car and smelling the blast of fruity fragrance which greets me. I have given lifts to family and friends and many have commented on how lovely the fragrance is when they get into my car. Like my daughter, I have also been very impressed by the longevity of these car air fresheners and these last for a number of weeks I have found. At the moment I have a Bubble-Gum scented Jelly Belly in my car which is also a fruity scent and is just as nice and as long-lasting as Very Cherry. You can also get an idea of the scent of these car air fresheners before buying one as they have a 'scratch & sniff' sticker on the packaging. This is how I decided to buy the Bubble-Gum scent as my second purchase as I wanted to try a different fragrance and this one appealed the most. There was only one which I thought I maybe wouldn't like from the ones available as I stood scratching and sniffing them in Asda and that was the Blueberry Jelly Belly, as I thought it a little sickly smelling and so I probably wouldn't buy that one. However, I am more than happy with the two I have bought so far and on that basis I am happy to recommend these as they are without doubt the best car air fresheners I have found to date. I paid £2.97 for my last purchase in Asda but they are sometimes cheaper than this when on offer. You can also purchase these from Amazon at varying prices, but make sure you check all the prices as it is possible to purchase them cheaper from Amazon than in the shops and with free delivery.
