If you own a car, you need to buy magic tree. There is just no alternatives that are as good.

I bought the yellow Magic Tree- the vanilla scent purely for cosmetic reasons- it co-ordinated with my car. I was delighted to see "yellow" = vanilla.

One pack will cost you around £1 from your average supermarket and I find each tree will last at least 2 months if not longer.

You buy this, remove the piece of cardboard packaging with the staple from the product and make the SMALLEST v shaped hole in the plastic bag containing the magic tree. Then you use a pen or a pencil to scoop out the elastic cord. Find somewhere in your car to hang this (the rear view mirror as long as you can abide something swinging around infront of your eyes when you are driving along)... then you basically hook the elastic around the thing you are hanging from and loop the tree through to tie a knot so it stays where it is.

Slowly over the weeks when the scent gets a little dull (when you stop noticing the scent when you first get into your car) you pull a little more (about half an inch to an inch) of the tree out of the bag until it is fully out of the plastic.

For the price, the strength and quality of the fragrance, the range of scents (there is even a "New Car Scent" !) and how long these last- and the number of people who have said to me "oooh your car smells lovely" these are just magic.

Summary: Well worth trying.
