Having quite a few Sealey tools in my toolbox and always on the lookout for anything this handy Damaged Bolt Extractor ended up on list of products I wanted to purchase.
Having looked in many shops and seen these priced at anywhere between £50 and £80 I finally found a set being sold on e-bay for £34.99. Needless to say I hit the Buy It Now option straight away.
On opening my package when it arrived I was pleased to see it was presented in a sturdy case with a foam sheet in the bottom to keep the tools in place with a clear top to enable you to see them. Instructions and a warranty card are also included with the set.
The tools contained inside are basically 3/8 drive sockets with the inside of the socket having angled edges rather than the flat edges of normal sockets. This is to enable the socket to grip on the edge of the socket rather than the corners which means bolts that are unable to be done due to rounded corners with a normal socket are undone with ease with these.
I have used these sockets on a few occasions now and they have undone some bolts with almost round heads with ease and they haven't slipped or failed to undo anything I'd expect them to.
The set is supplied with 11 sockets in total and includes the follwing sizes 8,9,11,12,13,14,15,16,17, and 19mm. The tools are made from dropped forged chromed steel so are very durable and rust resistant. These tools as with all Sealey tools are supplied with a life time warranty which I haven't had to use yet on any of their tools.
Another great product from a much under-rated tool company. With the life-time warranty and quality they offer their higher end products are suitable for workshop as well as home use.
