Sony Reference XM 2000R ... right, positive and negative, and provides current gain for each with completely independent output stages. Each output stage is provided with its own independent power supply, with a fifth power supply for the voltage stage. With this revolutionary construction the XM-2000R amplifier is a near perfect source of current, doubling its output power as load impedance falls. Protected by a "dynamic" monitoring system, the amplifier can gradually reduce its output if a fault condition occurs, and return to full power when the fault is corrected. Power is supplied through twin 70A resettable circuit breakers.
