Ive had 3 of these cd/casette players as i like them so much. The main reason is that the sound quality is excellent, and also because i want the option of a cassette player and a cd player. It doesnt have all the mod cons such as blue tooth or usb ports, but personally this doesnt bother me. Its digital display again is quite dated, ... however the advantages way outgo this for me. Its easy to use, and apparently easy to fit if youre able to fit it yourself, the only problem was attaching it to the ignition (bare with me on this, i didnt do it myself!) so that it went off when you turn the car ignition off, however this is not totally neccessary.
I have basic speakers in, and it works brilliantly, you can change the bass and treble on it, and there is a loud option although i find that with some cds that this overpowers my tiny speakers so i tend to use it on normal. Put it this way, the bass is enough to vibrate the entire car on particular tracks so that suits me!
All in all, if you want an easy to use, cd and cassette player this is definately one of the better ones around, and is usually available somewhere on bidding sites such as ebay as these sorts of machines are tending to go out of fashion unfortunatly, as no one seems to listen to cassettes anymore!

We have two cars, an old VW Bora and a new Seat Ibiza. Being new the Ibiza has a pretty kicking stereo system with a CD player and iPod docking station all built in so we can listen to as much music as we want to which is great. Our Bora, also a great car, is now about 11 years old and so the stereo is not as great but still really good. ... The radio is built in and we added a 6CD changer from Sony. In the radio/stereo section there is a slot for one CD but this is tiresome to always have to change the CD so the CD changer for us was a really good idea.
The box in which you put the CD's in is located in our boot in the back of the car. It is bolted into the back left side of the car so there is no way it can be stolen which I think is a really nice safety feature. There is another little case/cassette into which you slot the CD's that you wish to listen to. The cassette is square and probably a little bit bigger than the size of a CD case. On one side of this cassette you will see an arrow which shows you the correct way in which to load the CD into the case. Obviously if you load it in the wrong way the CD will not load properly and then will not play so its important you get them in the right way. You load all your CD's into the slots but the nice thing is you don't have to fill it with 6. If you can only find 5 you only want to listen to at any one time you can load 5 and thats enough, the whole thing does not need to be filled. The CD's need to be pushed all the way in and then they are held in by a little button/lever on the side so if you hold the cassette up the wrong way the CDs will not fall out. In order to get them out you just push not he end of the CD and move the little lever and they will slide straight out.
Once you have loaded the CD cassette you then put it into the system in the back of the car. The arrow shows you the way in which to put it in and you can hear a little mechanism moving noise that shows you that you have loaded it properly. When you want to remove the CD cassette there is a little button you press and the CD cassette will pop up and you can then pull it out, its as easy as that.
Once in the car you just turn the radio on and then choose the CD button if you want to listen to the CDs. We have 6 buttons so you press each one to listen to a different album. Its nice when you don't remember what you have put in the CD cassette as you get a nice surprise when the CD comes on. This machine is still working well after all these years. Sometimes you will get an error and the CD has not loaded properly for some reason and the radio will beep and tell you there is no CD. This is a bit annoying as you then need to go int he back of the car and reload the CD cassette, very annoying if it doesn't work when you are driving and theres nothing you can do about it until you stop, but hey, this doesn't happen very often.
All in all, a nice way to listen to lots of CD's.
