When you think of quality audio, Kenwood has to be in your top five. For car audio it's top. This model, the KFC W112s is up there with the best.

This subwoofer is a meaty 200 watt with a maximum 800 watt power input. It is styled in black with the Kenwood logo over the cone, and has silver plated terminals for high quality responses.

It's 16 centimetres in depth with a 32.8 centimetre diamater (with a mounting depth of 13.9 centimetres) which weighs in at 4.4 kgs.

My husband found it easy to fit, though there is an excellent guide online to follow, should you need it. In terms of the sound output, (we listen to anything from hard dance to rock, to opera!) the response bandwidth ranges from 28 - 200 hZ with an impedance of 4 ohm. What does this translate to once you're out in the car?

Loud, high-quality sound, that's what! The bass on this subwoofer gets you in the chest like any decent (well eq'd) subwoofer should, and all this without any tinny sound, fuzz or buzz. My husband loves it and I'll often hear the car coming around the corner before I see it!

You can buy the KFC W112S for just under £40 from Amazon including delivery, this is a good price for the Kenwood brand, though you should note that for the same price you can get a 1200 watt 12 inch subwoofer by JBL (a less well known brand). I haven't tried it and get great results with the 800 watt Kenwood, but it's always best to shop around until you have found exactly what you need.

For us it is excellent and another hit by Kenwood who in our eyes can do no wrong when it comes to audio of any kind! This sub is sure to last us years and will be moved between vehicles if necessary. We love it! So yes, it is highly recommended - if you want a bit of 'kick' to your bass, then the Kenwood KFC W112s is a great sub which won't break the bank but will deliver. Five out of five.
