Speakers that are designed specifically to upgrade the Renault sound system

I purchased Pioneer's TS Q131C for two reasons. Firstly the TS series are designed to fit specific makes of car, in this case Renault although there are those that support Citreons, Peugeots and Vauxhalls. So because of the specific design, installation was a doddle. Secondley is the colour, it reminds me of the speakers I have at home, the KRK Rokit, which features the yellow and black contrast.

Measuring a modest 13cm, the yellow Kevlar composite subwoofer with 2.5cm tweeter has a maximum output of 180watts. The soft dome tweeter allows for smooth natural overtones. The TS Q131C has a frequency response from 40-28.000Hz and a sensitivity of 90Db.

Mounting is easy due to the front mounted magnetic circuit and two screw assembley. The wiring that currently serves your speakers will be the wiring these speakers use. The guide that accompanies the duo is detailed and easy to understand ensuring that should you wish to install the set rather than pay for a qualified technician, you are unlikely to encounter problems.

It has been designed to replace the standard Renault speakers that you will find in your car. Models include:-
      Twingo Oct 1998 onwards (Front)
Clio II Mar 1998 onwards (Front)
Clio III Sep 2005 onwards (Front)
      Megane Oct 2002 onwards (Front)
Scenic/Grand Scenic Jul 2003 onwards (Front)
Laguna Oct 1999 onwards (Front & Rear)
Espace/Grand Espace Nov 2002 onwards (Front & Rear)
Vel Satis Sep 2001 onwards (Front & Rear)

Normally you would have to pay in the region of £95 for this set but as of today (24/09/10) they are available from caraudiosecurity.com for £69.99 + £7.99 p&p. They come with a 1 year manufactures warranty as standard.

I have been using mine for about 12 months now and can have no complaints. The sound quality is excellent and delivers the music, no matter genre or type, in a manner expected of higher end and much more expensive kits. Obviously the yellow colouring isn't for everyone and more than likely will suit only the younger generations or those with cars of a similar colour scheme. For my part, I could ask no more from them.

Pioneer introduces an innovative concept speaker series, which is focussed on high-quality sound, and quick and easy installation. Tuned exclusively for Renault, the TS-Q131C is a slim 13 cm, 2-way speaker system with a separate component woofer and tweeter. Designed to replace the pre-installed speakers found in Renault automobiles, the TS-Q131C reproduces accurate, vivid sound thanks to the KEVLAR brand fiber woofer cone. The soft-dome tweeter guarantees smooth natural overtones. The woofer's front mounted magnetic circuit and two-screw attachment system allows for easy installation in the car's speaker provision. To guarantee quick and easy installation, a highly comprehensible installation guide is included in the package.
