I have owned these speakers for just about over a year and thy cost me £40 from an online Sony webstore. They came well packed and are an oval shaped speaker which is the right shape for the space in my parcel shelf where the other speakers which blew up were. These are two 25 watt speakers which is enough to have on at a reasonable loudness so as not to deafen anyone around, as if you turn them up you can hear the car sterio coming down the road, but I prefer to have them on at a level where I can hear the sound and not feel the vibration of them. They have a speaker and a woofer in each one so the sound is good. They are easy to fit and screw onto the back board of my parcel shelf in the car, they connect with metal connecters which go in the back of the speaker and to attach the wire to the sterio, the wire comes with the speakers but you can buy it by the metre in places like Halfords and fit more for yourself depending on where you want your speakers putting, my son has his in the boot of his car as well as on the dash, but i'm happy with mine where they are on the parcel shelf. The colour is red and black and they come with dust covers on which just pop on and off, I leave mine on as they look nice and the grandchildren can't poke their fingers through them. The sound quality is very good and like all Sony sterio products you know your getting a good item from a trusted brand name. The bass sounds good and also there are now parts of the music I can hear that my other speakers didn't pick up. The size of the speakers are 160 X 240mm so they fit nicely where you put them as they are standard size. I'm quite inpressed with these as they have lasted me over a year and have been cranked up really high by many of my passengers on various journeys, as there seems something tempting about wanting to turn the music up when your in someone's car and they have asked you to put on the sterio. I have been surprised they haven't blown a few times with my son and his taste in music when he's borrowed my car as he loves the drum and bass and cranks it up but they have with stood the level although they do shake a lot at high levels and I turn them down as soon as I can to a reasonable level so as not to damage them. All in al they have lasted me well and look like they may have another year or more in them although they are old compared to all the newer speakers type of speakers coming out nowadays I like them and would recommend them to you.
If you are looking for some great 6 x 9's then the Sony range of Xplod speakers are for you. The Sony xsf6932 were my first purchase after much debate with brands and style. Both speakers are red and black in colour and feature the Sony logo in white on them both. They also come with speaker covers as well. These are black metal mesh which cover the redness of the speaker. They clip on and off very easily. They are both 25 + watts which is ample enough even without an amplifier when turned up. They are easy to install as well. Make sure your headunit can cope with an extra set of speakers and then you can attach a few spade connectors to the speaker wires and in turn to your stereo and speaker. Sony give you a lot of speaker wire too, so no extenders required. The length of wire is around 2.5m to 3m long, this is plenty for most cars. The build quality of the speaker is as always with Sony, Brilliant. Sony make electronic equipment to an unbeliveably high standard and these are definately no exception. These 2 oval speakers are very very good value for money when attached to your head unit. They are the usual size 160 X 240mm and are unbeliveably described as passive speakers. However when i had these in my car they sound a lot more like active speakers than passive ones.
