... this alpine unit was not cheap compared to other brands I had to go for it due to the reputation of alpine for sound quality and build of the unit. The screen is great if a little basic compared to all the flashiness of some of the other brands but it is large and clear. I guess the styling is very simple and typical of alpine. Sony MEX-BT3600U ... bought this stereo out of Halfords and had them fit it into my little Ford Fiesta. It replaced an old standard radio that came with the car originally. Back to the point. This is an outstanding stereo with lots of worthwhile features. With the intention of replacing my current stereo, I wanted to buy one that had bluetooth connectivity because I had been pulled over before for using the phone whilst at the wheel. I had learned my lesson and paid the fine. I was not going to fall dumb a second time. Pioneer DEH P77MP ... is one of the best Headunits i have ever had the pleasure of owning! It has travlled with me between 3 different cars without any problems in the 5 years that i have owned it. I have had a lot of comments about this headunit, from the younger crowd they say it looks to plain but when they hear the quality they usually take back there words. So this doesnt have pictures of cars or dancing people on the screen but why would you really want that? This headunit is classy, it is elegant, it fits great in a modern car and it doesnt look futuristic in a classic car. Sony CDX M 1000 ... Sony cdx m 1000. This cd player is just amazing, there is no other way to describe it. Where to start, well its a Sony , so the build quality and reliability of the unit is way over par. Its just awesome. It has been used every day for about 5 years and is still going strong with no issues. The player can hold upto 30 pre set radio stations, plays cd, cd-r s and mp3 discs. Unfortunately there is no mp3 connectivity, but its old and mp3 were not as popular then. The unit comes in black and the tft screen flips down to allow you to insert a cd. The unit is quick to read and start playing too which is a definate bonus. The volume and skip controls are on either side ...
